Stack Graph For Twitter
This stack graph shows the classification of 34 Million tweets that included the word Syria in Arabic collected between 2011-2018. The first group of tweets under the “Freedom” category, show tweets related to the popular uprising and the calls for reforms, freedoms, human rights and democratic change. The second group of tweets under the “sectarian” category, show the tweets that reflect the religious sectarian divide. The third group of tweets under the violent category, show the tweets that reflect the ongoing violence taking place in Syria. The last group of tweets under the “none” category show the tweets that do not reflect any of the previous categories. This stack graph show the changes in the quantity of specific tweets at specific moments in the ongoing war, which prompt a search of the supposedly causal events prompting such changes.
